Several of the "black box" scores out there use a measure of the number of words in the first claim as one of their inputs. Does Patents360 offer this stat? I think it would be helpful
You are correct. Length of the first claim is used in many "black box" rating systems that are available today. Patents360 does offer this statisitc along with other similar text related stats such as length of the description.
The area we continue to research internally is the correlation of text field characterisitcs to patent strength.

One should also note that recently the number of words in the first claim has been increasing as the USPTO imposes tougher standards and the ratio of issued patents to applications has fallen from 85% to 60%.....
